Habitual Traffic Offender

If you have been convicted of four major traffic offenses, such as:

• drunk driving
• reckless driving
• breath sample refusal
• driving on a suspended or revoked license

OR you have a combination of 12 major and minor traffic offenses, you qualify as a habitual traffic offender (HTO).

What are the penalties?

If you’re identified as a habitual offender, your license will be revoked for 5 years and you won’t even have the opportunity to apply for an occupational license (to drive to work) for two years.
